Claire Tincher (b. 1996) was raised in the City of Atlanta, making frequent trips to Tate, where her family has a home in the North Georgia mountains. It was her time spent there, immersed in nature, that has inspired her to become a printmaker.  Claire works at the High Museum of Art as an assistant to the Works on Paper Specialist and Framer and as a studio technician in the Savannah College of Art and Design Printmaking Lab (Atlanta Campus).  She is pursuing her BFA at Savannah College of Art and Design with a focus in Printmaking and a minor in Drawing.  Claire received the 2021 Gene Arthur Alcott Award, and has exhibited extensively at SCAD.  Claire currently lives in Atlanta with her dog, Hector, and manages the care of her family’s horse, Zen.
